Remember when we'd pick petals off a flower, saying, "They love me; they love me not"? Well, while we were doing that, the flower was dying.

There are three kinds of proactivity when we deal with problems. The first kind is crying to others about every problem; we dismiss this when we should listen. The second kind is crying to others when we build up so many problems, that any effort to feel better takes a lot of time, is time sensitive, and happens with a lot of difficulty.
The third kind of proactivity is self-harm.

Man isn't special because he loves in a simple sense. Man is special because, when he does love, he can love in ways that inconvenience him for the sake of others.
