Aphorisms Galore!

Comcast email trouble. If you are a Comcast user, you are probably not receiving any subscription email messages (like the Aphorism of the Day) right now. Or any email from me, for that matter. Comcast claims my email server is on some sort of blacklist. I'm working on it.

Discussions

Sometimes, users and visitors to Aphorisms Galore! feel the urge to comment on something, or even to start a discussion on a brand new topic. Sometimes, those users and visitors are living breathing human beings and not spam robots. When that happens, their messages show up here. (Some messages from spam robots may also appear from time to time, but I try to make sure they don't.)

CommentWhat do you think of Harry Truman?  ·  posted 2000 by Catalina Espino

Harry Truman... A president very much criticized and hated. What´s your opinion? When I think about this man I always imagine what would our world have turned in if He hadn´t done what he did. Specifically, if he had let thousands of US soldiers go to Japan and try to invade that land. How many more casualties would we have had?? Any comments?

Welcome to the new "Shopping" section. Here, I will do my best to help you find the right aphorism-related products at the right prices. I start out small, with only 65 different books and videos from three of the leading online booksellers, but I plan to offer a wider selection of products from a larger number of merchants in the future.

If you have any comments on the "Shopping" section (or on Aphorisms Galore! in general), respond to this message or drop me a line at webmaster@aphorismsgalore.com.

Wow, I'm the first one to write in here well, maybe I can start some convo. Me, personally, I tend to be more cynical of love, at least the idea of love as some great, grand, all consuming thing. People try to hard to find this "love" thing, and they can't. Or if they do, it's the kind where if you see them and hear them talk about it, you want to punch them in the face. Hate, well, I don't know about everyone else, but I like hating sometimes. They say hate will consume you from the inside out, but honestly, it makes me feel good. Well, time to see if i can post this and stir some people into discussion.....

Do not carry thoughts of the past. They seem only to hold us back until the end, where then they are the decisions that will grade us. So maybe yes, carry them with you always, but remember your life before them, for thats what we all strive for after the end.

I used ' his ' quotation in a small selection of aphorisms in a church newsletter under the simple heading quoteable quotes. The quote was - ' It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle if it is lightly greased. I thought it was interesting / amusing etc.

Only after I'd printed the newsletter for circulation did I really see the real joke.

Kehlog Albran ? Kelloggs Albran ? Oh yes ! Well done !

What is the meaning of this aphorism, and when explaining the meaning what examples could be used to explain this aphorism.
